SWOT analysis of BLOG teaching and learning

A blog (a blend of the term web log)is a type of website or part of a website supposed to be updated with new content from time to time. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

For studying and teaching ,

Blog's STRENGTHS : It's a good tool to share things with others and easy to edit any information on your own page. And you can hide or show anything you want to others, you can decide it by your own mind.Videos, pictures, links is also well used in blog.

Blog's WEAKNESS: You have to visit others homepage to see there ideas and information and it is not very convenient to have chat or exchange ideas.

And you need to pay more time on it.

Blog's OPPORTUNITIES: Good for learner's ‘independent working’ and exchange ideas with more people instead just your calssmates.

Blog's Threats: If you do something in mistake, it's not easy to fix cause other cannot help you to find and edit the wrong information directly and immediately.

Blog is one of my favorite tool to share information and my mind with others .

I use my personal Microblog everyday, i can see my friends ideas and states very quickly and Conveniently everywhere and anytime, and also share things with them, it becomes one of my life part.

But If  I study with using blog, i think maybe i gonna feel boring cause i have to visit other students' and teachers' personal homepage. To pick up what i need is not easy from thousands of informations.
And for teachers, need to pay lots of times on checking every students' homepage and finding their steps of subjects as well . I dislike to use blog for teaching and learning.
